The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2001 and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for three years and is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka and is ISO 9001-2000 certified department. There is a great demand for Computer Science and Engineering from top ranking students of CET & COMEDK. The CSE Department has well qualified and experienced faculty with an average experience of Six years, and has enough state of the art resources like Internet Lab with six MBPS speed and download upload ratio of 1:1, one hundred and forty one computer systems with four highend servers and licensed softwares to cater to the different needs of students and staff.

Some of the practices of the department like teaching with lesson plans ,conduction of regular tests, mentoring activities, focusing on weak students, conduction of department level placement, supporting activities like conducting mock test, interviews and group discussion have helped the students to achieve greater heights in their academics and placement activities to add value to their education Eligible students are well placed in high profile companies like Infosys, Tech Mahendra, Wipro, Cognizant, Sasken , Accenture , Span InfoTech etc. with good packages.

Our objective is to provide quality technical education that empowers the students to have a sound career as well as a holistic unfoldment of personality and we are working towards to develop knowledge base along with ethical values that will enable the student to become good citizen with a commendable global outlook.

As a part of industry institute interaction , the dept has tied up with Infosys through Infosys campus connect programme, Which conducts webinars on latest technologies to all staff and students and also conducts workshop for staff to update their knowledge.

The dept has also tied up with IBM which conducted software testing certification course and certificates were issued to successful students.

The department encourages staff and students to attend various workshops, conferences and seminars to enrich their knowledge and skills.

The department has a forum which conducts aptitude tests, group discussions, technical seminars and webinars, mock technical interviews and also personality development classes to assist the students for their overall personality development as well as placement. The various activities of TECHKRUTHI are

• Technical day celebration with various interdepartmental technical competitions.
• Technical events like Sudoku, technical quiz, technical talks, technical and aptitude test, group discussions, technical seminars, programming skills test etc.
• Recognize the hidden talents of the students and award them.
• Encourage the students to participate in technical activities held in other colleges.
• Encourage students to participate in various technical, cultural, and sports activities at various other institutions.
