Using these students can perform experimentation on realization, verification of various Digital Circuits like Adders, Subtractor, Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Encoders, Decoders, Flip-Flops, Registers and Counters.

Analog Communication and LIC Lab

Analog Communication Laboratory provides an opportunity for experimental learning of the concepts of analog communication systems. This lab includes experiments on applications of Op-Amps, timers; Phase Locked Loops, Analog Modulation techniques. This lab is equipped with Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, and Power Supply units.

Advanced Communication Lab

The Advanced Communication Laboratory covers design and verification of the concepts of modern digital communication systems that operates from MHz-GHz range. These labs include experiments on applications of Digital coding and modulation techniques, Fiber Optic Communication, Characteristics of microwave waveguide components and MMIC components. This lab is equipped with Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Modules for Digital Modulation and Demodulation techniques and Power Supply units.

To enhance precise measurement and observe waveform with better clarity APLAB Digital Storage Oscilloscopes are used. Three MMIC test benches and three microwave test benches are used to conduct experiments in GHz frequency range. Various digital coding and modulation kits are used apart from discrete components to demonstrate the basic concepts involved in digital communication and NI MULTISIM is used to simulate these circuits and verify the results. An OFT kit is used to demonstrate communication and multiplexing through Light waves.

DSP Lab

This lab is primarily divided in to Simulation and Emulation. Using MATLAB the DSP operations such as Linear and Circular Convolution, Auto and Cross Correlation, Verification of Sampling Theorem, Computation of FFT and IIR and FIR Digital Filter Design are simulated. These same experiments are emulated using TMS DSK6713 Kits.

Microprocessor Lab

The Microprocessor 8086 Lab curriculum includes both software and interfacing modules. The objective of the lab with respect to software module is to understand the types of data transfer, to perform arithmetic and logical operations, bit and string manipulation instructions, branch/loop instructions. This is executed by making use of High Level Assembler, Macro Assembler, MASM. Intel 8255 PPI cards used with Intel 8086 to execute interfacing programmes which include Matrix Keyboard interfacing, Seven Segment Display interfacing, Logical Control Interfacing, Stepper motor interfacing etc.

HDL Lab

The main objective of the lab is to teach students the method of synthesizing complex digital systems. For this the HDL lab provides full fledged of XILINX design flow using Spartan 3 tools. The students learn two HDL languages VHDL and Verilog HDL. Interfacing Modules such as DAC, Hex Key pad, Calculator, Speed Control of Stepper and DC motors are programmed making use of the interfacing kit.

Microcontroller Lab

The Microcontrollers 8051 Lab curriculum includes both software and interfacing modules. The objective of the lab with respect to software module is to understand the types of data transfer, to perform arithmetic and logical operations, branch and subroutines, Bit Addressability.
